BOBBY MOORE, ENGLAND
West Ham United (England), Fulham
San Antonio Thunder (USA),
Seattle Sounders (USA)
1962-76

The player who made British soccer mod, Bobby Moore's youth and leadership made England and the world of soccer a brighter place. Bobby Moore captained his teams to three titles in the 1960s--West Ham United in the 1964 FA Cup Final and the European Cup-winners Cup final. And, most importantly, with the English national team, the great victory over Germany in the 1966 World Cup. A fierce competitor, he marked Pele in 1970 World Cup in a heated battle. His endurance speaks for itself: 544 league appearances for West Ham between 1958-1974 and then another 124 with Fulham before retiring in 1976. He sadly died of cancer in 1993.
